Bio-control:
NPWS released the skeletonising Leaf-rolling moth (Tortrix) in
Sydney North in October 2001 as part of Weedbuster Week. The release site was
at Barrenjoey Dunes in Palm Beach.
Further releases were made on the Peninsula in September 2002. Locations were:

Whale Beach, Careel Head, North Avalon Beach and North Newport

The Tip Moth has also been released in Sydney North. This was several
years ago in Pittwater and Warringah and is
now well established, notably at Avalon Dunes and Long Reef. |
