Cabomba

Description:
Also known as Fanwort.

Originating in South America, Cabomba is a submerged perennial with stems 5 - 10 mm long. Grows in still or slow moving water 5m or deeper.

Sometimes floating leaves up to 2cm long and finely divided fan-shaped, submerged opposite leaves on a leaf stalk.

White to pale yellow on stalks raised above water.

None in Australia - but oblong, 1,5mm long to 1.0mm wide with rows of minute wart-like projections.

Dispersal:
Pieces in water or from aquaria.
