Description:
Native to tropical Asia and Africa, Glory Lily is a scrambler or climber,
with stems up to 2-4m long.
Flowers are large with 6 red to orange and yellow petals. Flowering from spring
to autumn.
Fruit is a large green pod turning black with bright orange to brown seeds.
Dispersal:
Bird and animal dispersed.
Impact on Bushland:
An aggressive garden escape which is spreading rapidly on the north coast of NSW.
It invades coastal dunes, rainforest and headlands.
